Is it just me?

Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's just this location, but for some reason tonight the "veil" seems thinner than usual.

Songa was just playing with her "invisible friend", and when I took Gunnar outside so he could "graze" I could hear things. Just little snippets of things. Words, laughs, conversations. Real fleeting, almost like they were moving past me. The neighbor's cats are all in a twist tonight, as well. All three of them were "posturing" - you know those weird sounds they make when they're in heat (they're all fixed, btw), or about to throw down? These were incredibly creepy sounds, but they never did fight. One of them sounded like a baby!! But then they just all walked away. They've never gone at it like that with each other. Sure a little tiff once in a while, but this was like they were holding some kind of a ritual!! LOL

It just "feels" kinda weird, like there's someone here.

I was thinking pretty hard about Matsi tonight between 8:30 and 9 my time, just curious if maybe you were getting some of that energy there, since she's been there.

Yesterday was astrological Beltane, the cross quarter day. I think borders get a little thin on Beltane, not as much as Samhain, but enough.

Actually, many spiritual paths believe that the veil is just as thin on Beltane as it is at Samhain. Both holidays are exactly opposite from one another and in the southern hemisphere, they are celebrating Samhain when we celebrate Beltane. Makes sense to me that both would be the same thinness.

Samhain concentrates on the darkening of the year, while Beltane concentrates on the lightening of the year. Both periods of extreme change and difference.

See!! I knew I hadn't lost my last bit of sanity!! I'll tell you, the snippets of words & such didn't creep me out, but those damn cats sure did! If you could have heard the sounds that came out of them!

The fat one, Dylan, makes an unholy yeowling once in awhile, one of the worst sounds to ever touch human ears, I friggin despise that sound. The second worse sound known to man is a screaming/squeeling rabbit, especially babies. Absolutely horrendous, like rubbing your hand on a couch wrapped in cellophane, X10.

Other than my trip down lonely lane ( I tried to reread the Rainbow Bridge), I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but I wasn't at home either.

Nothing out of the ordinary going on here except the usual restlessness I get with the coming of the full moon. But it has been so wet that there may be some validity to the phrase "dampening the spirits"! LOL!!
